SQL Server 2008 180 days free trial

Microsoft made its new SQL Server 2008 database software. SQL Server 2008 Web is the new addition in SQL Server list, which is intended to assist hosting companies in providing highly available cost-effective web applications for hosting environments, Microsoft stated.

SQL Server 2008, Microsoft is adding a number of features to improve scalability. New capabilities include support for policy-based management, auditing, large-scale data warehousing, geospatial data and advanced reporting and analysis services.

The free copy of the SQL Server 2008 is available for 180 days, and during the trial-span, the company will send five emails to its users, helping them in doing proper evaluation of the software; further, Microsoft would not provide any sort of assistance beyond that, for the evaluation period.

Customers now can download a fully-functional trial version for evaluation, and Microsoft is also making the software available to the Microsoft Developer Network and TechNet subscribers.
