Glide Engage is a social networking and micro-blogging service that enables users to send and read messages that carry Breaking News, documents, images and other files. Glide Engage is a free social messaging application that is integrated with the Glide OS suite of online apps, which includes Glide Email, Glide Groups, Glide Meeting, Glide Write, Glide Presenter and Glide Crunch. These browser-based applications can be used on Linux, Mac, or Windows computers, as well as mobile phones. Glide Engage provides users with 10GBs of free storage.
Users can create text-based posts of up to 1,400 characters that are displayed on the user's profile page and that are accessible by other users. Users can also engage in private or public discussions that are stored in the Glide Engage Inbox and Outbox for interaction that is more dynamic and immediate than email. Discussions can be archived as Glide Write, Microsoft Word 2007 or earlier, PDF or RTF.
Glide Engage integrates the Glide OS rights based collaboration application suite including Glide Email, Glide Groups and Glide Meeting to take your collaboration to the next level. Users simply click on the Glide Email, Glide Groups or Glide Meeting icons in a discussion and all participants, related posts and files shared in the discussion are automatically added to the email as addresses and attachments and to the group discussion or online meeting as participants and files.
You can use Glide's web-based applications to create Word documents, spreadsheets, or presentations. You can also play music, manage photos and videos.
Glide Engage integrates the Glide OS rights based and synchronized file sharing system so that users can share their documents, photos, and drawings etc. that are synchronized from their local desktops in posts with one click. Users can also assign "view only" or "edit" rights to files.
Glide Engage allows you to simultaneously publish your engage posts to Facebook, MySpace and Twitter. Glide Engage currently accessed by Mozilla Firefox 3, Apple Safari 3, Microsoft IE 7 and Google Chrome browsers as well as native Glide Sync applications for Windows, Mac, Linux and Solaris. Glide Engage will be available on mobile phones including Android, Blackberry, iPhone, Palm, Symbian and Windows Mobile.
